ILOA supplements the USA Lacrosse curriculum by holding training classes prior to the opening of the Spring season on March 1st.
In 2026, we will present 6 live, online sessions beginning on January 13th. The presentations will last between 40 and 50 minutes each. In these, instructors will deliver the basics of lacrosse officiating as well as some advanced material. New officials will need to participate in at least 4 of these sessions, while veteran officials must attend at least 2. All are required to attend the New Rules session on February 3rd.
While we strongly recommend attending live sessions, we will make session recordings available later and offer quizzes for each to confirm they have been viewed. If you have conflicts that prevent you from attending, please contact us and we’ll provide details on how to satisfy certification requirements.

Registration with USA Lacrosse as an adult member is required by ILOA before games can be assigned. Membership information is available at the USA Lacrosse website.
