Youth Rules Reference Card

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Here is the Rules Difference Card for Youth Games link from US Lacrosse:

Please remember for Long Poles

12U/14U same as high school

12U short field 7 vs 7 no more than 3 long poles.

Technically 10U is allowed long poles (2), but were told at the coaches meetings no long poles. Use your discretion.

Also please adhere to the game times as follows:

10U 8-10 Minute running time quarters. 8 minutes if the coaches want a stopped time, time out at 4 minutes into the quarter to change players. 10 Minute running if you will not stop the clock to allow them to sub at the midway point of the quarter. 10 minute is recommended as you normally will not have someone to help with the clock on the sideline.

12U/14U 12 minute running quarters for games that are scheduled on the hour. 10 minute stopped time for quarters if your games are scheduled on the 1hr 30 min. DO NOT USE STOPPED TIME ON GAMES SCHEDULED TO RUN ON THE HOUR.

5th Quarters are paid at 25% of the game fee. They should be scheduled in advance so that you know what you have committed to, however IYLA is using a new scheduling system outside of Arbiter and they may not yet know how to schedule it. Please accomodate the teams if at all possible, but get paid.

Finally please remember that all Unnecessary Roughness penalties are locked in.

3 personal fouls or 5 minutes disqualifies a player, so a 2 minute body check to the head and 1 slash and the player is done for the rest of the game. They may play in the next game.
