ILOA Announcements

Zebra Crew,
The 2018-19 ILOA Board of Directors met yesterday and covered a lot of ground. There are a few items that we’d like to pass on.

** The major takeaway was that there is TONS to do and the board is spread pretty thin. For this reason we are asking for your help in the various committees we’ve established as well as the annual training clinics to be held in January and February.
The list of committees can be found here: http://www.inlaxref.org/about-iloa/committees/. If you would like to help out, please contact the committee chair, who is indicated on the page.
The committees most in need of assistance are Training, Technology, and Youth. Training is a large undertaking, and we need help to run the 4 or 5 spring clinics. Technology will be re-working our website and is looking for people with online savvy. The Youth committee deals with the training, mentoring and monitoring of our Junior Officials – those who are still in school. Paul Deinlein has been doing a wonderful job for several years, but we need to bring others in so the job isn’t solely on his shoulders.

**The second item is that we will once again award a “scholarship” to attend the US Lacrosse National Convention in January. More details to come soon.

** Third, we have booked the first Central Area training clinic for January 27th at University High School, so mark your calendars. As more clinics are confirmed we will post them on the website: http://www.inlaxref.org/training/training-class-schedule/

** Lastly, if you have not renewed your USL membership you should do it soon. Online coursework is not available to you unless your membership is current. Also, rule books are mailed out based on renewal date, and there have been delays in years past that made test-taking a challenge.

Yours in Stripes,
The ILOA Board
